Former Eastenders star Mohammed George

Earlier this year it had been reported that former Eastenders star Mohammed George who played wide eyed docile road sweeper Gus, had been thrown out of the show’s 25th anniversary party.  Click HERE to read all about it.

Well Mohammed took legal action against Express Newspapers after the allegation was printed in the Daily Star Sunday, and WON!

Express Newspapers admitted they lied, has apologised over the matter and agreed to pay Mohammed’s legal costs along with undisclosed damages.

But every time I read about Mohammed the story involves libel action against some newspaper and his subsequent sacking from Eastenders.

I long to read a headline that says “Former Eastenders Actor Set To Star In New ITV 1 Drama” or “Former Eastenders Actor Set To Star In New US Drama”.

I hope playing dumb Gus for 6 years hasn’t ruined his chances of finding decent TV roles.
