So Sir Paul McCartney’s daughter has been appointed Creative Director. Now there’s a surprise! Nepotism at it’s finest folks!

Whenever I look at Stella McCartney I cannot help but laugh.
I will never forget when she graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, back in 1995. The woman overshadowed her fellow graduates collection showcases by getting her ‘famous friends’ Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Yasmin LeBon to strutt down the catwalk wearing her creations, while her vain old rocker father sat in the audience watching.
I remember thinking at the time that Stella was probably the least talented to graduate in her entire year but that didn’t matter. Doors would fly open regardless because of the McCartney name, and I was right!

I’m sure being a McCartney has helped but to be fair, Stella is a very good designer.
I hate nepotism.
Well look at Stella raking it in eh. Good for her – take the cash and run my love. Never really understood all the hype about her designs, as far as I could work out when she was head of Chloe, Phoebe Philo did all the hard work. Still fashion is all about image and Stella with her famous Dad and pals certainly has a big image.
