I know that ‘We Are The World’ has been re-recorded to help raise money for Haiti relief , (oh and let’s not forget, to celebrate it’s 25th anniversary) but some things are best left alone. The original track should never have been touched.
Lil Wayne and T-Pain “sing” their parts using autotune *HUGE SIGH*
The rap towards the end – This should have been scrapped. It just sounds so out of place.
Wyclef – I’m sorry but he sounds awful!
The video looks like it should be a part of a comedy sketch, which takes a sarcastic look at celebrities contributing to the making of a charity single.
But I haven’t forgotten that this is in fact real and has all been done for charity. I hope the re-release/updated version goes on to some how better the lives of Haiti’s earthquake victims.
Your thoughts please….

I was planning on NOT watching or listening to this but for you Janice, I changed my mind. I didn’t expect to laugh this much BUT I was really happy to see and hear Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion, it’s been ages BUT Where was Gladys Knight’s solo?
Anyway, Let’s focus on the cause. God Bless Haiti.
I see what you mean. It has not got that essence of the original even though they tried to put Michael in it.
I have to say this…… lol
Is it me or does Wyclef sound very much like Bob Marley?? Wyclef is a good musician however the Bob Marley thing has been before and cannot be redone so it has ruined the song 4 me.
:o(
I believe it was very messy, the combination of genre did not sound right. I hope it’s profitable, Haiti needs it.
It wasn’t as bad as people made it out to be, I could have done without Akon, T-Pain in the ass and Lil’ Wayne… I give them an A- it is the message that counts and lets hope they donated more than just their voices!!
