Precious star Gabourey Sidibe receives Best Actress nomination

 

Precious has been nominations for Best Film, Best Director (Lee Daniels), Best Actress (Gabourey Sidibe) and Best Supporting Actress (Mo’nique)

  1. Precious and Avator deserve to win and be nominated.

    Walked into one of the cinemas looking for precious tickets and they were like, we usually don’t show such movies here but we will wait and see how popular it is for us to show it. Did not ask what he meant. Strong content or what?

  2. I was hoping that was not the answer.

    The cinema i managed to get into had 90% white folks. I know i was supposed to be watching the movie and not who was there but i could not help myself noticing this. And the cinema that was 2o mins walk away from that other one which said they did not show such movies, had sold out precious tickets. Strange

  3. Just read a headline saying Avatar can make u sick and suicidal. Huge sigh. And that thousands of people have developed an obsession with fantasy world saying they’d rather die than return to earth’s reality. One fan saying, ….. I live in a dying world(reported as being suicidal), Smh hard coz i think some missed the real story line. I guess some of us have been living in a dead world 4 centuries. Watch it in 2D and pay close attention this time.
