Well it really doesn’t look too good for old Bruk Pocket – but not that you would notice!
A bank wants his Tribeca condos, the city is seizing his SUV and his lawyer dropped him for not paying his legal bills. The co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear – who in 2005 sold his share in the clothing empire to Jay-Z for $20 million – is under assault in Manhattan Supreme Court from lawyers, lenders and landlords fed up with not getting paid. The fall has been a dizzying one for Dash, who has gone from owning Keds, a vodka company and 1,300 pairs of shoes to dodging bills and accusing a former accountant of ripping him off for millions of dollars. “I’ve worked with musicians, artists and entertainers that in the eyes of the media are very wealthy,” said lawyer Jason Gabbard, who represented a fashion firm that settled a suit against Dash and his wife over $148,505 in unpaid fees. “But to borrow a phrase from my Kentucky homeland, they haven’t got a pot to p— in – they’re broke.” A Manhattan judge this week ordered the city to seize Dash’s Chevrolet Tahoe, since he wasn’t making the $714.99 monthly payment on the leased SUV. How did it get to this?

Everytime hear any money-related news concerning Dash, I always remember THAT MTV Cribs episode, then whatever ounce of pity I was, evapourates rather quickly. Well, it’s time to pop those food stamps & unemployed checks.
*I had….I think it’s time to start proof reading my posts.
i hope he gets past this moment in life!!!!
How broke is he exactly? Cos I thought he was loaded.. thats how it looks…
That’s so sad…..He went from high and mighty to down and out these type of situation can lead to severe depression…How did he fall from grace?
bruk pocket don’t have a pot to piss in as awful as it may sound any time I read this it make me laugh….Don’t know why because laughing at people in misery isn’t funny
Oh my goodness…if he needed some financial advice he could have come to me…there is no reason in the world he should be broke. I don’t feel sorry for him at all.
You have to be careful how you treat people…because the same people you step on –on the way up the ladder may be the same ones you need once you fall off. I hope he didn’t piss off too many folks.
Yep! Definitely be nice to people on your way up because you will meet those same people on your way down!
I think he pissed off most people within the music industry. He used to rant, rave, and scream to get his own way, and it worked because he had Jay-Z and part owned Roc-A-Fella, so people put up with his foolishness.
But when Roc-A-Fella split that was it, they didn’t have to deal with him anymore.
Nobody wants to work with him, that’s why since the split he has never been able to get another worthwhile job in music.
People don’t forget! Even Lyor Cohen once more or less said that Dame went to far at times.
It’s karma! I don’t mean to sound cruel but I’m sorry I find it hard to feel sorry for people like him.
What ever happened to that social networking site he set up to rival myspace and for people to make money money make money?
Its still going but isn’t making the impact that he hoped for.
He got involved with blocksavvy.com thinking that it would become as successful as Myspace, and he would in turn make billions from its sale like Tom and co did with Myspace.
WRONG!!!!
When you bash Dash you are bashing your self. I hope none of yall start businesses because no one is going to support NONE of yall. Its Karma. Broke bitches LOL.
Really…..
Thanks for stopping by and dropping that gem. We now feel thoroughly ashamed ourselves.
Please forgive us Dame. Please!!!! Bruk Pocket
I will pray tonight to that some one supports my future endeavours.
It’s so sad when one rises to the top and forgets those that brought him there!
I just watched an interview with Damon Dash, I must say he seemed quite arrogant, aloof and full of himself. Whatever happened to never letting money get in the way of being a genuine and thoughtful person?
Anyways I wish him the best and I hope he learns a lesson from this!
