VIBE MAGAZINE (DECEMBER ISSUE): PLIES – THE FUTURE OF HIP HOP

Do you know what upsets me the most about Plies? The fact that this man is educated,  he went college/university.  But now he just chooses to dumb down in SPECTACULAR fashion.

Quote taken from Vibe interview:

“I want to be everything a street n*gga ain’t supposed to be. A street n*gga ain’t supposed to be professional. A street n*gga ain’t supposed to be humble, they supposed to sh*t on everybody. A true street n*gga, he ain’t supposed to be a responsible father – the streets is all he’s supposed to be focused on. A street n*gga isn’t supposed to be educated. Everything that a true street n*gga isn’t supposed to be, that’s what I want to be”

  1. Algernod is too much. T.I. is a much better representation of professionalism and everything else he mentioned in that quote than he ever will be. Why didn’t they put Lupe Fiasco on that cover with that title? Would have been much more suited… though I doubt Lupe will be returning to Vibe anytime soon after his latest fiasco with them.. but still!
