Jade Goody’s cancer has spread further than expected, doctors have discovered during an eight-hour operation to remove her womb.
Medics who carried out the hysterectomy found that the cancer had reached “Stage Three” – a term used to describe when it has moved beyond the womb. The cancer was discovered in a ligament muscle behind her uterus.
Before the operation, when they thought it was contained in her womb, the reality TV star was given 95 per cent odds of making a full recovery.
Now the odds have dropped – but they are still said to be better than 50 per cent.
Jade will have to undergo an intensive nine-week course of both chemotherapy and radiotherapy to try to kill any remaining cancer.
It’s hoped that as she has a thick head of hair she will not lose it all as a result of the treatment.

There have been numerous celebrities in the past who have been diagnosed with cancer and the media tends to leave them in peace while they fight the disease.
But not in Jade Goody’s case.
I guess its because they didn’t have Max Clifford as a publicist…….
Four weeks ago she was given the devestating news that she had cancer on a reality TV show in India.
Since then Living TV has made a documetary chronicalling her current troubles.
She’s conducted numerous interviews talking about her illness.
Yesterday the headlines screamed “Jade’s operation went well”.
Today it’s “The cancer has spread”.

Jade lives her life in the papers on tv in mags ect. You all no of Jade reading whats happening in her life yet your suspicious you say “shes playing for sympathy”, what with cancer? Cant believe what ive read my god are you all so sad as to think she’s milking cancer to further her celeb status. Jades got 2 sons shes a single mother who lives in the lime light why was it so wrong to put her side across on her documentary about her fight with cancer. Id call that brave not “sensationaling her sad news for financialgain”.
As for what happened on big bro celeb why is it the slightest hint of someones colour in a arguement got to be racist. Did’nt anyone watch the big bro celeb with Pete Burns the year before? If a doctor called someone at work because they need surgery no one would think anything of it. Yet again because it was Jade at work in Indain big bro when doctor called its suspicious. Why don’t you tell Jade and Max Clifford that? You’ve clearly missed the memo. Jade decided to go public because “she wants to make as money as she can for her sons”. That’s the line that’s being spun.
