An eight-hour operation in which reality TV star Jade Goody had a hysterectomy “went well”, her publicist Max Clifford has said.

“She’s got the best people looking after her,” he added, as the 27-year-old remained in intensive care at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

The mother-of-two is expected to begin a course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy lasting nine weeks.
