I cannot believe that stand-up comedian/actor Felix Dexter recorded the comedy monologues below almost 20 years ago and they are still hilarious/relevent in 2013 I agree with my friend’s response to this post  that “not many of today’s crop of comedians  are insightful or intelligent enough to do this brand of humour”. Or BRAVE enough. There are also a number of black British comedians on the circuit today who in my opinion are just not funny. Forgive me if I don’t find material []

UK NEWS: ‘THE REAL McCOY’ COMEDIAN DIES

The Voice reports that comedian/actress Collette Johnson has died of cancer of the spine, after being diagnosed with the illness earlier this year. She was 52 years old. Collette was one of the original performers on the hit 1990s BBC comedy sketch show ‘The Real McCoy’ and starred in many sketches alongside fellow comedian Llewella Gideon. Llewella told The Voice, “I last saw Collette a couple of years ago,” Gideon said of her former colleague, who had also suffered from multiple sclerosis. []
