LONDON CLUBS CAN’T AFFORD JAY-Z DURING CREDIT CRUNCH

Via The London Paper Jay-Z is finding the credit crunch is hamperiing his London party plans. The hip-hop superstar has found no club willing to stump up his appearance fee. Representatives for the star, in town to watch his NBA team, the New Jersey Nets, take on Miami Heat at The O2 on Sunday night, initially asked for £25,000 for him to host a party. UK NEWS: CHRIS ROCK SET TO BREAK COMEDY GIG RECORD

US comedian Chris Rock is set to enter the record books later for having the largest UK comedy audience. The 43-year-old is due to perform to a crowd of 15,000 fans at London’s O2 arena in the first of two shows. Guinness World Records officials will be there to ensure its rules are met.
