Singer Susan Boyle has made UK Chart history and gone straight in at No.1. The Britain’s Got Talent runner-up has sold 410,000 copies (first week) of her debut album I Dreamed A Dream. Simon Cowell who is extremely happy and rubbing his hands together like Fagan from Oliver Twist said, he was proud of Boyle and added that the success could not have happened to a nicer person.
Britain’s Got Talent finalist/runner up Susan Boyle has reportedly been invited to sing for President Barack Obama on Independence Day. Her unofficial spokesperson and older brother Gerry claims she has been asked to perform at the White House on July 4, but admitted that she was still feeling “exhausted”. Andrew over at The Worst Kept Secret pointed out today that even though street dance troupe Diversity took home ‘The Britain’s Got Talent’ crown last night, it’s runner up Susan Boyle’s face that can be seen splashed across the front pages of all the newspapers today. The first ever live semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent took place last night (May 24th) on ITV 1. Susan Boyle (no surprise here) and dance troupe Diversity have both made it to the final. 10 year old singer Natalie Okri lost out to Diversity, burst in to tears and then was more or less pushed off the stage to make way for the finalists.
