It has been announced today that singer and Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon has left the show Alesha won the fifth series in 2007 and later joined as a judge in 2009 replacing popular judge and choreographer Arlene Phillips. Via The Guardian The BBC has received 63 complaints after it emerged Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke called his dance partner Laila Rouass a “Paki”. The dancer issued an apology after the News of the World revealed he had used the offensive term to describe the actor Laila Rouass, his partner on the BBC1 show.
