Earlier this year it was revealed that 80s Hip Hop star Roxanne Shante (real name Lolita Shante Shante Gooden) had been lying for years about receiving a Ph.D in Psycology from Cornell University. Shante also claimed that she forced Warner Music to pay for her education.  Now the rapper admits to lying and on top of that now claims to be fighting breast cancer. For several years now old skool rapper Roxanne Shante (real name Lolita Shanté Gooden) has been telling the world that she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Marymount Manhatten  College and received her PhD in Psychology from Cornell University. We were also led to believe that Warner Music Group funded Roxanne’s education because of some clause in her recording contract with them. But it was all lies I’m afraid!
