Via BBC News US President Barack Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Committee said he was awarded it for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples”. The committee highlighted Mr Obama’s efforts to strengthen international bodies and promote nuclear disarmament. There were a record 205 nominations for this year’s prize. I missed this live performance at last weeks historical inauguration event so thanks Nessa for bringing it to my attention. Herbie, Will.i.am (another one who gets under my skin) and Sheryl decided to perform the Bob Marley classic ‘One Love’ and BUTCHERED the track. I know that Herbie is a musical legend but what the HELL was he playing at the start???? The man was playing the wrong keys!
