Via The Daily Mail A doll shop in Australia has withdrawn a female golliwog soft toy from its prominent window display to avoid offending the Oprah Winfrey roadshow Down Under. Based on the novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire, critically acclaimed film ‘Precious’ starring Mo’Nique, Paula Patton, Gabourey Sidibe, Lenny Kravitz and Mariah Carey will be released across America on the 6th November (no word on a UK release date yet). Directed by Lee Daniels, the Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry backed film is also receiving some Oscar buzz.
