ONLINE PETITION: ALLOW THE VOICE NEWSPAPER MEDIA ACCREDITATION FOR THE OLYMPICS 2012

Yesterday I posted the news that Britain’s leading black newspaper (for 30 years) The Voice had been denied press accreditation to cover the 2012 games. However a letter from the BOA (British Olympic Association) states that the request has apparently been added to their “waiting list”. News that the highly respected and prominent African-Caribbean publication had been denied access in to the Olympic stadium has now gone viral  (the BOA didn’t see this coming) and now an online petition has been set []

UK NEW: RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE BEAT X-FACTOR WINNER IN CHARTS

To think this all started when Facebook members Jon and Tracey Morter campaigned online to push Rage Against The Machine’s 1992 single Killing In The Name to number 1, which was designed to prevent another X-Factor number 1 (Joe McElderry – The Climb). Via BBC News Rock band Rage Against The Machine has won the most competitive battle in years for the Christmas number one. The band’s single, Killing In The Name, sold 500,000 downloads beating X Factor winner Joe McElderry’s The Climb by 50,000 []
