UK NEWS: GOLDIE TEAMS UP WITH PRINCE HARRY IN NATIONWIDE SEARCH FOR MUSICAL TALENT

Via BBC News Drum ‘n’ bass star Goldie has teamed up with Prince Harry to help organise a concert featuring 12 young musicians chosen after a nationwide search. BBC Two series Goldie’s Band – By Royal Appointment will follow Goldie as he searches the UK for 17 to 24-year-olds with “raw musical talent”. The musicians will then be mentored by artists including former Robbie Williams songwriter Guy Chambers. The series will end with a Buckingham Palace gig in front of Prince Harry. []

According the BBC ‘Dancing On Wheels is a glitzy and ground-breaking new series in which celebrities partner wheelchair users for a dance competition with a difference. The six celebrities taking part are Heather Small, Mark Foster, Caroline Flack, Martin Offiah, Michelle Gayle and Kevin Sacre. MTV GREEN LIGHTS NEW DIDDY SCRIPTED “REALITY” SHOW

Entertainment mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has joined forces with Emmy winning producer Mark Burnett to lead the search for the next music superstar on a newly approved MTV reality series. The show, titled StarMaker, was greenlit by the network for January 2009. It will feature a group of aspiring solo artists handpicked by Combs, who will compete against each other for a chance to obtain stardom while living together.
