Remember the UK’s Lady Sovereign who 2/3 years ago was being touted as the next big thing to come from this side of the pond? She signed to Universal/Def Jam and expectations were high when she dropped her debut album ‘Public Warning’. Then as predicted it all turned sour and she disappeared off the scene. But now she is back with the single ‘I Got You Dancing’, and is set to drop her sophomore album ‘Jigsaw’ soon. I can’t wait….. Your thoughts please…..

UK MUSIC: THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY N-DUBZ – ‘PAPA’ I do respect N-Dubz’s hustle. Estelle seems a lot more confident in front of the camera these days, playing the seductress while wearing ultra high heels and fitted designer outfits. Anyway in this video collaborator Sean Paul plays her lover and it gets a little steamy. There is actually some good sexual chemistry there. The track ‘Come Over’ taken from Estelle’s latest album ‘Shine’, is a slow old skool flavoured reggae track. I still don’t think Estelle’s a great singing talent (she’s a rapper), but I enjoyed the track none the less. Your thoughts please……

50 Cent’s new MTV “reality” show ‘The Money And The Power’ will debut in the US on November 6th. When it does eventually air in the UK I doubt that I will be tuning in on a regular basis. I’m tired of watching fake, scripted “reality” show vehicles. It’s just lazy television. But I am loving Fifty’s new pearly white teeth! I might just tune in to stare in to his mouth. Will you be tuning in?

After her first solo album flopped and she was subsequently dropped from her label (Polydor), singer Alesha Dixon has been given a second chance via Asylum Records…. Via BBC News Strictly Come Dancing champion Alesha Dixon says she feels “blessed” to be releasing a solo album after previously being dropped by her record label. The 29-year-old, who was in girl group Mis-Teeq, was dropped as a solo artist by Polydor in 2006 before being offered a new contract after winning the show. […]
