UK MUSIC: THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY
N-DUBZ – ‘PAPA’
I do respect N-Dubz’s hustle. The group has been persevering together for 10 years and recently saw a change in their fortunes, thanks to their “strange” blend of R&B/Hip Hop.
Now on to the track… I actually like the female vocalist’s voice (for some reason), but other than that ‘Papa’, a track that explores the subject matter of death and loss, sounds weak and badly produced. And don’t even get me started on the other the top/”highly emotional” rapping……….
I am going to pop this in to my BAD file.

CRAIG DAVID FT TINCHY STRYDER – ‘WHERE’S YOUR LOVE’
Has Craig transported himself back to 1999/2000? This sounds like the Craig David of yesteryear when he was something to write home about, before the ego kicked in and before he began to take himself far too seriously.
‘Where’s Your Love’ in my opinion is a decent track, and I can see where Craig’s going with this. This is an attempt to get back to his “roots”. But I’m afraid that teaming up with Tinchy Stryder and jumping on to the Bassline (Garage re-packaged for 2008/9) bandwagon isn’t about to reverse his chart fortunes anytime soon.
But regardless I do like the track and will pop this in to my GOOD file.
Your thoughts please…….
