It has been reported that Hip Hop legend Guru ( real name Keith Alam) is in a coma after suffering a heart attack yesterday (Feb 28th). Via The Guardian The rapper’s condition was confirmed by DJ Premier, his partner in the seminal hip-hop group Gang Starr, in a phonecall to radio show Hip Hop Nation yesterday. He is reported as saying: “Guru is in a coma and will go under surgery tomorrow afternoon.” I hope he pulls through.

South African singing legend Miriam Makeba has died aged 76, after being taken ill in Italy. She had just taken part in a concert near the southern town of Caserta, the Ansa news agency reported.
