Via BBC News A London school’s ban of the cornrows hairstyle resulted in “unlawful, indirect racial discrimination”, the High Court has ruled. Mr Justice Collins said the ban by St Gregory’s Catholic Science College in Harrow was not unlawful in itself, but should have taken into account individual pupils’ family traditions. Via BBC News A woman claims clothing firm Abercrombie & Fitch made her work in the stockroom because her prosthetic arm did not fit the shop’s image. Riam Dean told an Employment Tribunal she felt “diminished” and “humiliated” by the incident at its Saville Row store in central London. Ciroc issued this official statement last night. “CIROC Vodka has nothing whatsoever to do with this inappropriate and offensive casting call, which was done without the brand’s knowledge or consent. We are currently investigating how this occurred.
