Singer R Kelly will no longer be performing at this years Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, Jamaica, due to having undergone emergency surgery to drain an abscess from his tonsil, and will be ‘laid up indefinitely’. Summerfest Productions executive director Johnny Gourzong said in a statement “Kelly’s unforeseen and unavoidable health issues will prevent him from making a scheduled appearance on the music festival. It’s been announced that the highly anticipated Black Tie Comedy Awards, due to be held tonight (August 23rd), has been cancelled.
