Singer Alicia Keys has lost her job at Blackberry. The struggling smart phone giant announced in January 2013 that they had appointed the singing superstar as the company’s new ‘Global Creative Director’ and hoped that her appointment to the post would help “inspire the future” of the company. It was announced yesterday that Canadian smart phone giant Blackberry has made the decision to make 4,500 members of its staff redundant. Via The Huffington Post Canada BlackBerry says job cuts will help it halve its operating costs by June 1, 2014. It expects to post a loss of US$950 million to $995 million when it reports its second-quarter earnings next Friday. A man stabbed at a private celebrity packed party organised by mobile phone giant BlackBerry on April 4th has died. Via BBC News Father-of-two Phillip Sherriff, 37, a telecommunications worker from Preston, Lancashire, was attacked in Pulse nightclub, Southwark, on 4 April. Singer Jessie J had performed at the club earlier in the evening and several other celebrities were in the venue at the time.
