Last night (November 12th) Jim Jones made his theatrical debut in the play The Hip Hop Monologues ‘Inside The Life And Mind Of Jim Jones’. The production also featured tracks from his forthcoming album ‘Pray For Reign’, which will drop early next year. Admittedly when I listened to the first couple of seconds of this track I hated it. But then when I heard Jim Jones’ voice my opinion changed. ‘Pop Champagne’ is a club banger and I love it. My Jim Jim also directed the video. This man is so talented. He is definitely the new Hype Williams, and before long will make the leap in to directing successful feature films. Check out the full movie trailer for the Notorious BIG biopic, which will be released early next year. I have to admit….this now looks as if it could actually be a pretty good movie…… Angela Bassett plays Biggie’s mother Violetta Wallace. Now I respect Angela but did she/the creators deliberately forget that Violetta has a Jamaican accent?
