Angela Bassett plays Biggie’s mother Violetta Wallace. Now I respect Angela but did she/the creators deliberately forget that Violetta has a Jamaican accent?

Angela is a brilliant actress, the last thng she wants to do is f–k it by getting the accent wrong lol. The trailer looks good.
That’s true… or they could have found a Jamaican actress to play her. But I guess it was all about finding a know actress to star in the film….
that trailer makes the film worth while, I might even watch it now!
