UK TV: ANDI PETERS TO HOST ITV GAME SHOW

Television presenter, producer, journalist, voice-over artist and voice actor Andi Peters will return to our television screens this year. Peters  has signed up to host new ITV daytime quiz show Ejector Seat. Via Digital Spy The game sees six players sitting on “imposing” seats, each at the top of a track that leads towards “the edge”. UK TV: FORMER EASTENDERS: E20 STAR MODUPE ADEYEYE JOINS HOLLYOAKS CAST

UK RADIO NEWS: BBC UK BLACK FACING JOB CUTS

At the end of March 2014 it is proposed that the two specialist broadcast journalists who currently provide national and international material for BBC English Regions African Caribbean and Asian programmes (BBC UK Black and Desi Download) will be cut to just one role serving African Caribbean, Asian and also Chinese programmes. BROADCAST JOURNALIST JENNI STEELE APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE UK

Domestic Violence UK has announced that broadcast journalist Jenni Steele has been appointed an ambassador for the organisation. In 2011 Jenni created a workshop for teenagers based around unhealthy relationships and domestic violence, something she suffered as a teenager. VIDEO: SECOND PROTEST RALLY OVER CHOICE FM REBRANDING (WATCH)

Demonstrators outside the headquarters of Global Radio in Leicester Square demanded the return of airtime for specialist black music after Choice FM was replaced with Capital Xtra. Artists from the Reggae, Soca and Gospel music industry voiced their protests with performances of their songs. The demonstration was organised by The Voice, the black community’s weekly newspaper and the media and entertainment union BECTU.
