British actor and Attack The Block star John Boyega has bagged himself the lead role in Spike Lee’s HBO boxing series Da Brick. The drama series will be loosely based on the youth of former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson who is on board as an executive producer. Congratulations John!

MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards organisers have announced that Boyz II Men will celebrate 20 years in the music business with a special performance at this years award ceremony, which will take place in Glasgow on the 5th October. Finally some good news coming out of MOBO headquarters. I will definitely tune in to watch this performance. Boys II Men have still got that magic. They are brilliant live performers.
It’s been reported that an adult film actor has tested positive for HIV, resulting in the LA porn industry shutting down while investigations take place to see if the virus has spread. Diane Duke, executive director of the adult film trade association Free Speech Coalition, said tests were being conducted on the performer to confirm the diagnosis.
