THE UK MUSIC SCENE – REVIEWED BY JR EWING

Check out the article by Hood Celebritys blogger JR Ewing which talks about today’s UK music scene and his hopes for the scenes future. Well Christmas is finally over, new year was what ever you made of it and now its time to get serious, time to see if the new years resolutions you made can be made into a reality. Have you really got what it takes to be a better person, to live out your dreams and to stop the []

PINBOARD FILMS PRESENTS REHEARSAL ROOMS WITH JESSIE J

Current “woman of the moment” Jessie J performs the acoustic version of her hit single Do It Like A Dude with world-famous Red Bull Music… ‘Rehearsal Rooms’, an original series presented by friend to Mad News PinBoardBlog.com and filmed by their production house PinBoard Film.

THROW BACK (UNCOMFORTABLE) INTERVIEW OF THE DAY – TIM WESTWOOD INTERVIEWS CRAIG DAVID AND DJ SPOONY

I have always found BBC Radio personality / Hip Hop DJ Tim “Big Dawg” Westwood funny, while others have accused him of being just damn right rude at times.  But after watching this throwback interview from late 2008 where Westwood interviewed singer Craig David and fellow radio personality DJ Spoony, I now see exactly what they mean. There seemed to be a lot of animosity in the air. Craig looks visibly uncomfortable, Spoony is trying his hardest to remain professional, and when Westwood drags Reggae DJ Chris Goldfinger in to the mix []

UK MUSIC: JLS FT TINIE TEMPEH – EYES WIDE SHUT

JLS are back with the new single Eyes Wide Shut featuring the man of the moment Tinie Tempeh. Believe it or not I really like this track, but don’t understand why they felt the need to feature Tinie. Eyes Wide Shut could have done without the rapping. But because Tinie is the “man of the moment” I’m guessing that he has just been included for the sake of it. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

UK MUSIC/VIDEO: CHIPMUNK FT CHRIS BROWN – CHAMPION

To say that Chris Brown over shadows UK rapper Chipmunk on his own new single would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! I really like Champion and I think that has a lot to do with Chris. He just takes over the track to such an extent that you actually forget it’s a collaboration and he is the “featured” artist. Chris is on fire! Chipmunk… well not so much. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

UK MUSIC VIDEO: LETHAL BIZZLE – POW 2011

In 2004 Lethal Bizzle released the single Pow and it went down a storm. Pow 2011 is the revamped version, and here is the video. I prefer the original version and see absolutely no point in releasing this version. But I guess Lethal has his own reasons for doing this, instead of creating a new hit anthem from scratch for 2011. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

BLACKSTREET CONFIRM THEIR ATTENDANCE @ THE SUNDAY SHOW (LONDON)

Several days ago I posted a blog announcing the news that 90s R&B  group Blackstreet would be performing at The Sunday Show on the 26 December (Boxing Day). Also on the bill is the talented Ayo aka MC Darke aka “I’m young and I’m black, surrounded by crack” who appears in the Channel 4 documentary The Family.
