The New Zimbabwe reports that the Zimbabwean government plans to rename institutions bearing colonial names. Victoria Falls will be renamed alongside several other institutions, following a weekend Zanu PF resolution to use them to honour the country’s liberation heroes. The sign language interpreter who appeared at Nelson Mandela’s memorial and was later exposed as being a fake has been named, and claims he suffered a schizophrenic episode on stage that left him unable to do his job properly. BBC News reports that actor Paul Walker (40) died yesterday afternoon in a car crash in California. The Fast & Furious star was a passenger in a Porsche sports car driven by a friend – who also died – when it crashed north of Los Angeles. Walker was said to be attending a charity event at the time. … This is really sad and shocking news to wake up to. Rest In Peace Paul Walker.
