Billboard.com reports that rapper Lil Kim has now been officially dropped by Atlantic Records. On DJ Kay Slay’s Sirius Satellite Radio show “Streetsweeper Radio” last week, Kim shared that she harbors no ill feelings toward Atlantic. She said she was afraid to release her music independently several years ago but is now more comfortable in her knowledge of the music business to work her project. Well no surprises here folks. Rumour has it that G-Unit boss 50 Cent is about to drop the dead weight from his label. A source has disclosed to mediatakeout.com that, “with the cuts, tough choices had to be made, and Lloyd Banks and Mobb Deep projects have to be shelved. I don’t think that they’ll be officially ‘dropped,’ but they won’t be getting much label support either.” This news won’t come as a big surprise if true….
