UK MUSIC: INVIZIBLE CIRCLE – ‘THESE STREETS’

Unlike the negative track, ‘You’ll Get Wrapped’ featuring Lethal B and Ghetto, which was subsequently thrown under my ugly file, ‘These Streets’ approaches the subject matter of gun crime and the escalating violence on Britain’s streets, in a constructive and sensible fashion.  The video/track is part of a new weapons awareness campaign, and the artists featured are part of the Leeds based Hip Hop collective, Invizible Circle. Anti-Gun campaigner Pat Regan who sadly is no longer with us, appears towards the end of this video. Rest In Peace Pat.

Last Friday a lawyer was kicked out of the Cook County Criminal Courts Building after trying to give his CD to R. Kelly in the courtroom where the singer’s child pornography case was taking place. According to the Chicago Tribune, attorney Mike Roman approached Kelly while the singer was sitting alone at the defense table. UK NEWS: 15 YEAR OLD GIRL FOUND STABBED TO DEATH

A 15-year-old girl has been found stabbed to death on a housing estate in south-east London. The girl, who suffered multiple wounds, was found in a lift at Matheson Lang House on Baylis Road, in Lambeth, at about 1545 BST. A London Ambulance Service spokesman said their crew arrived at the scene in under four minutes but failed to resuscitate the teenager. Pat Regan The grandson of a prominent anti-gun campaigner has been arrested after she was found stabbed to death at a flat in West Yorkshire. The body of Pat Regan, 53, was discovered at the property on Marlborough Grange in the Hyde Park area of Leeds on Sunday. Mrs Regan, a mother-of-six, started campaigning against gun crime when her son Danny was shot dead in 2002. Police said the 20-year-old man was being held on suspicion of murder.  Continue Reading…. Above: Injured baby said to be critical but stable. The mother of two children who were stabbed to death at their home has been detained under the Mental Health Act. The 35-year-old woman, who has been in hospital since the incident in Carshalton, in south London, will be moved to a secure mental health unit. The mansion at the center of a legal battle between rapper 50 Cent and his ex-girlfriend was burnt to the ground this morning around 5:00 am. According to reports, the Dix Hills, Long Island mansion that housed 50 Cent’s ex, Shaniqua Tompkins and the rapper’s son caught on fire around 5:00 am this morning.
