Last night, Daniel Kaluuya and John Boyega both took home Golden Globe awards.
Kaluuya won ‘Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role’, for his role as Fred Hampton in Judas and the Black Messiah.
Boyega received an award for ‘Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Supporting Role’, as Leroy Logan in the BBC anthology series ‘Small Axe’.
Small Axe: Red, White and Blue – After seeing his father assaulted by police officers, a young black man is driven to join the force, with hopes of changing racist attitudes from within. He soon finds himself facing both his father’s disapproval and racism in the ranks. The Small Axe anthology series is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
