The Edinburgh TV Festival Names Award In Honour of Late Director And Producer Victor Adebodun

The Edinburgh TV Festival has named an award in honour of Victor Adebodun.

The Edinburgh TV Festival New Voice Awards, have named the Debut Director category after the late director and producer.

Victor started his career in television and film working for the Soho based post production company, The Moving Picture Company. While there he worked on the following high profile films, Harry Potter, Narnia, G.I. Joe, James Bond’s Skyfall and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus.

In 2011, Victor and acclaimed writer Baby Isako, created the hit online web drama series Venus Vs Mars. The series went on to win several awards and was later broadcast on the satalite channel Sky Living, in 2015.

In 2012, he launched the production company PurpleGeko. Since its inception the company has produced a number of projects, including Venus vs Mars, Bag Ladies, It’s Alot and the hit film The Intent.

Before his untimely death earlier this year, Victor worked as a director on the long running soap Coronation Street and executive produced the hit film The Intent:The Come Up.
