The Voice Newspaper reports that WAH NAILS founder Sharmadean Reid has received an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire), for her pioneering work in the nail and beauty industry. She was awarded the honour yesterday (October 17) at Buckingham Palace.
Reid said via Twitter:
Very proud to be acknowledged for pioneering a nail trend that grew to a £250m industry in the UK, for employing over 100 women in last 9yrs at Wah Nails, starting
