On Thursday 22nd June, the African and Caribbean War Memorial was unveiled in Brixton (Windrush Square), London. It’s the first UK memorial to specifically honour Commonwealth soldiers from Africa and the Caribbean who fought during World War I and World War II. In attendance were London Mayor Sadiq Khan and Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon MP.
