A.Dot

It has been announced that radio host A.Dot will take over the Radio 1Xtra breakfast show. She will also become the first solo female to host the station’s breakfast show.

The former rapper joined 1Xtra in 2014 to present the station’s weekend 1-4pm show and later went on to host the weekday 1-4pm show.

A.Dot said:

Just 18 months ago 1Xtra gave a radio rookie a Saturday afternoon show and now here I am taking the wheel on the Breakfast Show. I’m so, so grateful for this huge opportunity. I’ve never set a 5am alarm before, let’s hope I don’t sleep through it!

Current Breakfast Show hosts Yasmin and Twin B

The breakfast show’s current presenters, Twin B and Yasmin Evans will both go on to host their own shows.  Yasmin will take over the weekday 1-4pm slot and Twin B will host the Saturday 1-4pm show.

A.Dot will take over the Breakfast Show from July 4.
