Blues legend BB King has died at the age of 89.
Riley B. King was born on September 16, 1925 on a cotton plantation near the town of Itta Bena, Mississippi, the son of sharecroppers Albert and Nora Ella King. He began performing in the 1940s, going on to influence a generation of musicians.
King had been suffering ill health in recent months.
