Rapper and actor Ashley Thomas aka Bashy, has landed a role in HBO drama ‘Crime’.

Well done to Bashy. The reason I think Black British actor and actresses have a harder time finding work in the UK is because there isn’t a huge market to see Black faces on TV like there is in America. For example, a third series of Top Boy got axed due to Top Boy 2 low ratings while a series in America like The Wire goes on to be a huge success. The day the market grows in the UK and becomes financially profitable, the day things will change.
