Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston, has been in a medically induced coma since January 31 after she was found in her Atlanta home face down in a bath tub. Since then news websites have done nothing but report a succession of speculative news reports as FACT in regards to the 21 year old’s condition, while quoting various “sources”.
The latest suspect update comes from Page Six who report that Bobbi’s relatives have agreed to take her off life support tomorrow (Wednesday 11th February) so she can die on the same date as her mother, three years to the day.
In response to the speculative journalism, the Brown family has released the following statement via Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC (legal counsel for Bobby Brown).
“We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina. The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended. However the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention. The desire to be “first” has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence.” Brown added.
“We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina. God is hearing our prayers.”
TMZ and The Daily Mail are the worst offenders. Everyday there is a new story citing a “family source”, stating that Bobbi is seconds away from death. It’s just ridiculous and so unprofessional.
I pray Bobbi Kristina pulls through.
