BET has allegedly suspended a producer over a “joke” about Beyoncé and Jay Z‘s 2 year old daughter that aired on the music video countdown show, “106 & Park.”
Page Six reports that a ‘source’ confirmed the producer was suspended after a “joke” was made in regards to Blue Ivy‘s hair.
In a segment about Blue Ivy’s hypothetical thoughts during Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, reading from a teleprompter guest host Karrueche Tran (Singer Chris Brown’s on and off girlfriend) said,
“I really did wake up like this, because my parents never comb my hair.”
Well the “joke” went down like a lead balloon on social media and the backlash towards Karruehe (wrong target) was intense.
One deranged Beyonce stan posted on an Instagram page that the model/designer “deserves to be raped”.
Not long after the fall out BET’s president of music programming Stephen Hill, then logged on to Twitter with a quickness and publicly apologised.
He wrote:
Last night on 106 & Park there was a stupid, unthoughtful joke made about a young child.
We apologize publicly to the child’s parents (and have done so privately) and we have taken punitive actions with those responsible.
It was very bad judgment and we will serve you much better in the future.
Oh, and please don’t hate on Karrueche; it was NOT her fault. We also apologize to her for putting her in that position.

I would have given anything to have heard Stephen Hill grovelling to the Carters over the phone.
But why do people (and by people I mean black people) have a problem with Blu Ivy’s hair?

Because it’s in a state of emergency. People just can’t understand how the richest celebrity couple in the world could allow their precious daughter to be seen in public with her hair in such condition. Sorry but it needs to be said. They just said what everyone’s thinking.
In what condition? Natural and free?
Beyoncé is a very beautiful woman. She messed up by having a child with such an ugly man. A child which inevitably and unfortunately has inherited her fathers looks. Yeah I said it.
Just because your hair is natural, doesn’t mean it has to look messy and untidy.
