JAMAICAN BUSINESS WOMAN LAUNCHES THE ‘JAMAICA PATTY CO.’ IN LONDON’S COVENT GARDEN

Theresa Roberts founder of the Jamaica Patty Co.

Last month the Jamaica Patty Co. launched in London’s Covent Garden.

In an interview with Big Hospitality its Jamaican born founder Theresa Roberts said:

Everybody in Jamaica enjoys a patty. We want to bring this product to the UK market in an authentic branded way. There is a huge amount of room to grow this business in London and the UK. Nobody’s ever sold Jamaican food like this in a branded way, so we absolutely want to expand.

As soon as the first site’s settled we want to push the expansion button to get this rolled out . We want to take the Jamaica Patty Co. all over Britain.

  1. Looking forward to checking this place out. And it’s authentic, in comparison to ‘Dub Jam’ – a jerk BBQ rum shack “concept” from the Big Hospitality article

  2. The £4 patty I had tasted ok but I’ll stick to the £1.50 hood equivalent. It’s in a good spot. Should get loads of foot traffic. Also, there was a white man in the shopping saying he was the owner. ..
