Last week in honour of ‘Black History Month’ Channel 4 aired the documentary My Crazy New Jamaican Life, which was originally going to be called Yardie Wives. For those who missed it ‘My Crazy New Jamaican Life’ focused on two English women, Debbie and Holly who are both in love with Jamaican culture. Last week it was reported that 19 year old African-American student Trayon Christian is suing department store Barneys for “allegedly” calling the police on him after he purchased a $350 designer belt in April.
