The British Black List reports that BBC Three has commissioned a brand new scripted comedy series from writer Keith Akushie.
The new comedy titled ‘Siblings’ is about the world’s worst brother and sister. Obnoxious, lazy, self-centred, underachieving, incompetent and occasionally depraved, they cause chaos and disaster where ever they go.
BBC Three has ordered six episodes for the show’s first season.
Keith began writing comedy at university before performing sketches and stand-up at the Edinburgh Fringe. His first play Hostage won the 2010‘Harry Porter Prize’ for best new comedic play.
He was one of the writers on the critically acclaimed comedy for Channel 4, Fresh Meat.
…
Well… well…you learn something new everyday. I didn’t know that Keith was one of the writers on Fresh Meat. Unless it involves road man antics, run down council estates in Hackney, death and destruction, I had no idea that British TV companies also hired black writers to contribute to shows of this nature.
😀
Congratulations Keith.
