I spotted this article on The Daily Mail website today and the journalist that wrote this piece cannot be serious.
Puffing on cigars clasped in their three-inch multi-colored talons, these are the women who populate hip-hop music videos.
‘Hip-hop Honeys‘ was shot by photographer Brian Finke, known for his previous portraits of cheerleaders, body-builders and frat boys.
He captured the glamorous extras behind-the-scenes at video shoots in a variety of locations including a Park Avenue hotel room and a Harlem cigar bar.
The music video ladies posed up for the camera, dripping in diamond-encrusted crosses and statement earrings. Most extras wore extremely tight cropped tops and tiny shorts while others had stripped down to racy lingerie.
Finke told Slate: ‘A lot of the stuff I do is very straightforward: Pick a subject matter and just obsess about it for a period of time, whether it’s a week or a few years.’

These young women look far from glamorous. They are attractive but at the same time they look worn out and used. And I find some of the photographs pretty disturbing especially the first one above. Awful.
