A footballing body today admitted it was embarrassed over the ‘gross error of judgement’ that saw comedian Reginald D Hunter repeatedly using racist slurs during his act at an awards dinner.
Hunter, a black stand-up from Georgia in the U.S., used the word ‘n*****’ a number of times during his 30-minute performance at the Grosvenor Hotel in central London yesterday.
Professional Footballers’ Association chairman Clarke Carlisle said: ‘I thought that we made a really gross error of judgement in who we selected for our entertainment last night. I was embarrassed.’
He added that he ‘apologised unreservedly’, saying: ‘All that has gone on in football over the past few years, with everything that we purport to stand for, his set was inappropriate, it really was.
Oh dear…..
I don’t know whether to laugh, cry or cringe in embarrassment.
Who thought it would be a good idea to book Reginald for this particular shindig? I could have told them that parts of his stand up would leave some squirming in their seats. The Reginald that they have probably seen on various satirical TV shows tones it down, but his live stand up show is a different beast.
Anyway Reginald is a funny man but some of us really need to stop throwing around the word “nigger”. Just STOP!

This is the problem with modern day blacks, foolishness, ignorance and stupidity have become the trendy cool in things. If you talk like a retard you are cool however if you talk coherently and intelligently then you are trying to be white. The same principle can be applied in the black community to studying vs hanging around on street corners wearing hoodies and sagging your trousers.
Black people need to stop using this word and they also need to stop listening to music artists and any other people in the public eye that use this term. Until then, do not complain black if you get called a nigger by a white man, you use the term among your friends. Nigga/Nigger, same damn word, same damn dehumanising meaning, just getting that out of the way before foolish blacks jump out of the alley ready to defend dumb stupidity.
