VIDEO: FIRST DATE DESCENDS IN TO VIOLENCE WHEN EX-PARTNER TURNS UP – WHAT DO YOU DO?

The Pardon My Blog team went out and posed the following questions to a group of articulate, intelligent and eligible young men:

You’re on a first date with a girl and you’re in a restaurant. Her ex/baby father comes over and beats her up. You haven’t known her that long. What do you do?

You go to a friend’s house and you find him beating up his girlfriend. What do you do?

And the third question which is totally unrelated to domestic violence:

Light skinned girls or dark skinned girls? (oh here we go again *yawn*)

WARNING: SOME PROFANITY

Interesting views on domestic violence and so much hysterical laughter. The young man wearing the ‘I am Awesome’ T-shirt should be a comedian. He is an absolute STAR.

Some of these black British males born in the late 1980s/early 1990s are a very SPECIAL bunch.

Mad News readers your thoughts please….

  1. Where to begin. The one wearing the awesome tee in the pursuit to be funny just ended up looking and sounding like a fool. What is wrong with these guys. were they dropped on their heads as soon as they left the womb?

  2. This hurts my soul. The ignorance on display is astounding. Saddening and pathetic

I’d take Sean Fury over these guys. Seriously.

And that fool in the awesome top is a clown.

  3. They all need to watch this back and take a long hard look at themselves and I’m sure the one wearing the blue baseball cap at the start acts. He was in that hood film Victim but I could be mistaken.

  4. I despair for black British men. The only time they would jump in at the restaurant is because its a “disrespect” to them. *smh*

  5. I have to be real here, this is what happens when fathers aren’t around. Men don’t know how to be men and the worse thing is, I bet all these guys have kids, things are only gonna get worse. What scared me the most is like Ice Queen said they would only jump in becuase it made them look bad no other reason.

The guys were funny though, I have to admit I did laugh a few times. Before I even looked at the video, my first thoughts were, I’m going to jump in. A man shouldn’t be beating up a woman. What if you find out the next day he’s killed her? and you could;ve stopped it.

I’ve been in a similar situation and seen a woman being beaten up by a man on the street I didn’t know either but I jumped in, to me it was a no-brainer what kind of man sits there and watches are you serious.

Also these guys don’t represent all black men in the UK, they represent a small minority

  6. I commend and respect any man who decides to step in and help. But
I have witnessed a man stepping in to help a woman who was being beaten by her partner in the street and she turned around and said to him “not being funny but you really shouldn’t get involved mate”. I was stunned and just shook my head.

And several months ago someone posted pics on Twitter of a woman being physically abused by her man at some festival. I think it was at the 1xtra Hackney Festival. Loads of people in attendance witnessed the brutality and everyone was shocked and disgusted when they saw the pics. But some also questioned why the person who took the photos didn’t try to help or if he didnt feel comfortable intervening call the police/security staff to handle the situation. Why post pictures of her being slapped and dragged about in public on a social networking site???.

    It was a strange move…..

  7. You can’t expect sense or intelligence from that site or their ilk. Just watch this video with a view to learning about the enemy and keeping your family away from them.

    …..

Yeh I have heard about the same thing before, with the woman saying hey don’t get involved, I think it’s for this reason alot of people don’t get involved, with me it was just natural instinct, the guy was really laying into the woman, I couldn’t stand there and watch that kind of thing. It would be same if I saw a parent really beating up their child

  9. I watched a documentary a couple of years ago, and this journalist was asking young black kids, both boys and girls what they thought about a female rape. And most of them said that if a girl was in the company of boys, then she would be asking for it. They honestly did not see anything wrong with it. And one of the girls interviewed said that her friend had gone over to her ‘friends’ for a visit and she got raped. Her friends who happened to be boys, i think she had gone to one of their houses.

When good is bad and hate is love.

  10. Urrgh. I despair.

I despair for the parents who did such a bad job in bringing up these boys (not men, y’know) and I despair for the young girls whose self-esteems are so low, that they actually get together with these cretins.

  11. wow :

Yeh I watched some of that documentary and if I remember most of the boys they asked were young and black, because I remember going into the work the next day and I waman I worked with saying to me, what’s wrong with black boys. KMT

  12. I thought you would blog about this. I was so annoyed watching the video.

I too have had a friend intervene in a domestic – he ended up getting bottled by the (stranger) woman who he had stepped in to protect. HOWEVER, in the question posed the woman involved is not a stranger but rather someone you’ve approached with a view to getting to know better.

  13. It’s Mr I Am Awesome T-Shirt man that gets me the most. Is he on steroids? WHAT is going on in that man’s head?? Can he even hear himself? “with her stretched out crutches” The man clearly has some serious issues with women.
