Check out Gap’s Adult Holiday 2012 Collection featureing rapper Nas and his father, blues musician Olu Dara.
…
It is always a surprise to see Nas endorsing a product/brand. I had no idea the rapper and his father were Gap fans. Hahaha.
Well done to Nas’ manager Steve Stoute for bagging them this gig. Next stop TopMan.

This ad & commercial is great for the hip hop culture considering it seems to have a fatherless image and promotes more liquor & cheap champagn disquised as expensive than it does family values. Nas tends to bring a positive message to the game with his music “Bridging The Gap” that also features his dad. Anyway, this is Great!
By the way, Nas’ manager is Anthony Saleh…he is a very bright young man who has the mind of a sharp investment banker. He & Nas are doing great things outside of music as well.
After the Gwyneth Paltrow episode, Nas has lost all credibility in my eyes.
I agree with Not Yet, that’s what I like about Nas his relationship with his father is good for the hiphop world, which rarely talks about fathers in a postive light
@Nubiahbella what happened with Gwyneth Paltrow?

Well, he works under his former nemesis Jay Z who is also friends with Ggwyneth.
Woah at him defending Gwyneth in such a manner. I’m with anyone who has jumped ship in support of him.
His former enemy. Hehehe
@Nubiahbella I understand what you’re saying now, he’s lost credibility in my eyes too for pulling that stunt SMH
So the ad is great for dispelling the fatherless image of hip hop culture, but Nas has no credibility at all, so the ad is bad now?
BTW Jay Z left Def Jam in 2009.
Nope the ad is still good for hiphop and the fatherless image shown in hiphop. I love any image of black fathers with their children as this is rarely shown in the media. Period. I’ll always respect Nas he just lost a bit of credibility for pulling that stunt with that dumb chick.
Nas been pulling stunts with dumb chicks since the 90s
