Global Grind’s Sharon Carpenter caught up with Dame at his gallery space to talk about everything from how age has changed his pursuits and where his relationship stands with Jay-Z.
*There is no relationship with Jay-Z*

Damon Dash really is a shadow of his former self. This is what happens kids when you allow fame, fortune and power to go to your head, start to believe your own hype and verbally abuse people on a daily basis for sport.
You end up bruk pocket, ignored and forced to more or less start again. People in the entertainment industry have very long memories when it comes to Dash.
It is funny hearing him talk about the Internet and having an online network. Several years ago he was asked about the Internet and replied that he had no interest in the Internet, “I’m a grown man”.
Hahahaha.
I wish him the best of luck with his latest business ventures.

I remember he tried to start a social network several years back. Block Savvy, or Savvy Roc or something. I joined it lol.
Hahahaha. It was called Block Savvy. I remember it well. Dame and Kareem “Biggs” Burke started it up and were hoping that it would become as big as Myspace (at the time) and make them billions. They had no interest in the Internet or how social networking sites worked and hired a bunch of techy interns to run the site. The venture failed. I visited the site and it just didn’t make any sense to me.
It didn’t make no sense to me either after I joined it – it did not serve any kind of purpose whatsoever. I lasted about a week on it ha ha!
I have to admit I’ve always liked Dame Dash and behind all the brashness feel he is a real savvy businessman. I wish him the best of luck
Cribs…
I rest my case.
He sounds grown, which is what we are all supposed to be at 40+
