The Voice reports that former cocaine smuggler Junior James has launched the first of three books about his life.
James who has served time for drug smuggling launched his debut book titled Diffrent at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton (South London).
He told the newspaper,
“I got the idea for the book during my third spell in jail for cocaine importation. The other inmates were intrigued by my life story of drugs, money, flights and the women.
The screws (officers) liked me and the teachers in the jail encouraged me to write some of my stories. Even though I dropped out of school when I was about 13, I got the writing bug and haven’t looked back.”
“None of the publishers would touch a book unless it’s written by a recognised writer- much less an ex-con from Brixton who left school at 13 without qualifications. But it didn’t faze me.”
Check out footage from the launch and an interview with Junior James.
…..
According to The Voice the book has sold more than a thousand copies.
Interesting. Good luck Junior.

It looks interesting. I will def try to grab a copy. I hope it doesn’t glorify drug smuggling also I don’t think he should’ve brought out a 3 book autobiography, good luck to him though.
The Book does not glorify the drugs trade, becuase there’s no glory in that. It describes my life, the fun, the tears, prison, smuggling, fear, and so many other things. I wrote it in the hope that people would fix up and live the life that they have been given, and to warn people of the dangers of the lifestyle I had.
