Rio Ferdinand
It was announced yesterday that footballer and former England captain Rio Ferdinand (33) has not been picked for the England Euro 2012 squad.
A devastated Ferdinand tweeted,
“Absolutely loved playing for England. To say I’m gutted is an understatement of the highest order.”
But guess what folks (like we all didn’t see this coming) Chelsea skipper John Terry who “allegedly” called Rio’s brother Anton Ferdinand a “f**king black c**t” during a match back in October and will conveniently stand trial for “alleged” racial abuse after the European Championships on July 9th, has been picked to join the squad.
….
I feel sorry for Rio but let’s face it they need to bring in fresh new blood if they want to go up against the big dogs in European football. Stop dragging out the old guard who are now edging that bit closer to football retirement age and have failed miserably in the past (on countless occasions) to bring home a Euro championship trophy or a World Cup trophy due to embarrassing/lacklustre performances on the pitch.
And as for John ‘I’m whiter than white’ Terry, well according to new England manager and soon to be scapegoat Roy Hodgson there was no pressure from the FA (Football Association) when it came to the highly controversial decision to select John for the squad. He then went on to say,
There’s no doubt that the issue of racism is a concern for us all, not least the supporters who go over there and risk maybe getting beaten up, or if they happen not maybe to be white…subjected to a lot of abuse. So it’s a concern”.
But I’m convinced that John Terry is a person who will be able to handle these matters. He’s had that hanging over him for a long period of time, and it hasn’t distracted him from lifting the FA Cup, reaching the CL final.
“I know how committed he is to England. No one has doubted his desire for the England cause.
“It’s not as if he’s a person who’s not had a lot of criticism in his life. He’s had to deal with that in different areas. He has to stand up and face the situation that he himself has created, but he has the strength of character to do that.
“I hope his performances on the field will give the team a better chance of getting a result than if he wasn’t there.
“He’s not a fearful footballer. He has a lot of footballing qualities. That’s why I’ve selected him. He’s an excellent centre-half, the type of centre-half that will help us win matches. I’ve been impressed with a lot of what John Terry has done over the course of the season.
“He’s played a major part in helping Chelsea to the Champions League final — even if he did something stupid in the semi-final, but things happen in football — and he’s been in good form. We’ve got a better chance of winning the tournament if he takes the form he’s been showing to the finals.”
Do you really believe Roy that with John there you actually stand a better chance of winning Euro 2012? HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA. You are living in fantasy land mate. The England team is beyond WACK and will once again fly back to these shores shamed faced and empty-handed.

Wow! They really think Terry can walk on water! All these excuses……… He is a racist pig!!!
They have gone out of their way to protect Terry. From banning handshakes, to delaying the investigation to dropping players. I wonder what he has over the FA?
I thought i heard something on radio about Rio not wanting to play because of the racial issue and apparently some possible tension between the two. And they need to stop speaking like Terry is the victim. Ferdinand is the victim who had death threats over this issue and it is hanging over his head, since he has been made out to be a trouble maker by those football fanatics.
Both Rio and Terry are past it and haven’t had good seasons. They are also both big personalities and would cause a spilt in the camp, so the manager had to choose one and lets face it he’s never gonna drop BNP poster boy John Terry
